To create your driving license in the app, you must have:• A valid Danish driving licence• A valid Danish passport• A MitID• A phone equipped with NFCWith the driving license app, you have your driving license at your fingertips.
The app is a voluntary supplement to your physical driving license and functions as a valid driving license in Denmark.This means that you can leave your physical driving license in the drawer at home, as long as you can show your driving license app instead.
However, keep your physical drivers license.
You still have to use it when you drive abroad.With the app you can:• Document that you have a driving license when driving in Denmark• Present your driving license on the mobile where you normally use your driving licence, for example as identificationThe driving license app has been developed by the Danish Agency for Digitalisation in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the National Police, the Ministry of Transport, Buildings and Housing and the Danish Transport Agency.
